Our team is dedicated to creating a healthier world, one patient at a time.About the RoleAs an Experienced Associate Clinical Administrative Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, and handling resolution/inquiries from members and providers. You will work closely with our clinical team to ensure that patients receive the care they need, when they need it. Your exceptional communication and problem-solving skills will be essential in resolving complex issues and providing exceptional customer service.Key Responsibilities* Manage requests for services from members and providers, working closely with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers* Process incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, ensuring timely and accurate completion* Handle resolution/inquiries from members and providers, providing exceptional customer service and resolving complex issues* Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure that patients receive the care they need, when they need it* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledgeEssential Qualifications* High School Diploma or equivalent work experience* Must be 18 years or older* 1+ years of referrals, utilization management experience* 1+ years of customer service experience analyzing and solving customer problems* General knowledge of medical terminology* Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel (ability to create, edit, save, and send documents and spreadsheets)* Ability to work our normal business hours of Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm PST, with occasional overtime as neededPreferred Qualifications* Call center experience* Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes* Clerical or administrative support background* Experience working in a metric-driven work environment* Experience working with Medicare commercial and/or Medicaid Services* Experience working within the healthcare industry and with healthcare insuranceTelecommuting Requirements* Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)* Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy* Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet serviceSoft Skills* Ability to meet weekly metrics* Ability to work in a high-volume workplace* All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter PolicyCompensationand Benefits* Competitive salary* Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance* Incentive and recognition programs* Equity stock purchase and 401(k) contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements)* Opportunity for career growth and professional developmentDiversity, Equity, and InclusionAt UnitedHealth Group, we are committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment that values and respects the contributions of all employees.
