You will work in a fast-paced environment, using a variety of equipment and tools to ensure that packages are delivered on time. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make decisions in a timely manner.Duties & ResponsibilitiesSome of your duties may include:• Receiving and preparing inventory for delivery• Using technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders• Viewing prompts on screens and following direction for some tasks• Building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages• Receiving truck deliveriesYou will also need to be able to:• Lift up to 49 pounds• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around• Go up and down stairs (where applicable)• Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)What it's like at an Amazon Delivery StationAt an Amazon Delivery Station, you can expect a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. You will be working around moving machines, including order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. Some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs. The temperature can vary between 60°F and 90°F in some parts of the warehouse, and it can get noisy at times.
