As a coach, you will play a vital role in delivering one-on-one support to students and their families, addressing a wide range of needs including academic support, social and emotional skills development, and executive functioning skills enhancement. This is a unique opportunity for educators, mental health professionals, and individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of students to work in a flexible, remote environment with the potential for professional growth and development.Key Responsibilities• Direct Student Support: Provide personalized coaching and tutoring to students of all ages, focusing on academic achievement, social skills, emotional intelligence, and behavioral development.• Lesson Preparation: Develop and prepare engaging, tailored lesson plans for each coaching session, ensuring they meet the individual needs and goals of each client.• Communication and Progress Tracking: Maintain regular communication with families regarding session schedules, student progress, and goals. Utilize our goal-tracking system to monitor and update client progress.• Administrative Tasks: Submit worked hours and maintain ongoing availability in TutorCruncher. Ensure timely updates of client goal progress in the Goals Portal.• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance coaching skills and stay updated on best practices in education and behavioral coaching.Essential QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must possess:• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.• At least 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents, particularly those with behavioral, social, or emotional challenges.• Availability for at least 3 weekdays from 3 pm to 7 pm, with occasional morning and weekend hours.• Strong personal organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Familiarity with online management platforms and strong communication skills across multiple mediums (in-person, email, etc.).• A commitment to working with a client for a minimum of six months and having a reliable transportation source.• A valid CA Mandated Reporter Training Certificate of Completion (required before providing client services).Preferred QualificationsWhile not required, the following qualifications are highly valued:• Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant fields.• Experience with goal-tracking systems and online educational platforms.• Background in special education or experience working with students with diverse learning needs.• Fluency in languages other than English, reflecting the diversity of our client base.Skills and CompetenciesTo excel in this role, you should possess:• Empathy and Understanding: The ability to connect with students and families from diverse backgrounds and needs.• Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adjust coaching strategies based on client needs and feedback.• Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication with students, families, and the Club Xcite team.• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple clients, schedules, and progress tracking efficiently.• Commitment to Growth: A desire for ongoing professional development and staying current with educational best practices.Career Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt Club Xcite, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
