As an Academic Success Coach, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating retention, outreach, and support activities, serving as a bridge between enrollment and academic departments, and contributing to the development and monitoring of student success plans.Key Responsibilities• Coordinate a comprehensive student advising process, managing a caseload of students across all years of their university journey.• Develop and implement structured Student Success Plans to maximize student retention and persistence in their chosen programs.• Utilize various enrollment management systems (such as Slate, Banner, DARS, Starfish, and BlackBoard) to track academic progress, provide timely interventions, and make necessary referrals.• Conduct regular follow-up sessions with students to identify their strengths, interests, and abilities, and guide them in selecting appropriate majors and degree paths.• Provide one-on-one support for navigating the registration process, ensuring course alignment with degree requirements, and facilitating connections with other campus departments as needed.• Engage with the University's Early Alert System to stay informed about students' academic progress and facilitate interventions based on instructor feedback.• Participate in staffing Enrollment Management events, including orientations, enrollment extravaganzas, and high school visits, to promote student engagement and success.• Maintain accurate and confidential student records, adhering to federal, state, and university policies and protocols, including FERPA and Title V regulations.Liaison and CollaborationAn integral part of this role involves building and maintaining ongoing relationships with faculty, department chairs, deans, and staff across various departments and divisions. This includes coordinating advising activities, sharing updates on policies and procedures, and leading advising workshops to enhance student understanding of registration processes, degree auditing, and other essential skills for academic success.Essential and Preferred QualificationsTo be considered for the Academic Success Coach position, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university, along with proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
