We’re building a Spirit-led community where believers can heal, grow, and follow Jesus together, especially those who have been wounded by religion, disconnected from traditional churches, or are simply exploring faith in a safe and welcoming space.About the RoleThe Executive Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care, Chaplaincy, and Counseling will lead and oversee the care ministry of Christcord Church. This includes providing spiritual support to members, leading the care and prayer teams, and helping develop response protocols for crisis situations within a digital community.This role works in partnership with the Executive Pastor and other executive leaders to ensure every member of Christcord feels seen, supported, and shepherded with Christ-like compassion.Key Responsibilities• Pastoral Care: Oversee the care of members through digital check-ins, 1:1 prayer, and team-led outreach• Chaplaincy & Crisis Support: Develop appropriate spiritual response systems for grief, trauma, mental health concerns, or emergency prayer needs in a digital context• Counseling Referral Support: Provide pastoral guidance and connect individuals with licensed counselors when necessary• Volunteer Oversight: Lead and mentor prayer team members, peer counselors, or future chaplains within the Christcord network• Spiritual Safety & Ethics: Help establish and uphold care policies grounded in Christian ethics, trauma awareness, and accountabilityTime CommitmentThis is a volunteer leadership role with an estimated time requirement of 5–10 hours per week, consistent with all executive-level roles during Christcord’s formation and launch phase. ✅ Qualifications• Experience in pastoral care, chaplaincy, crisis ministry, or counseling (formal or informal)• Strong understanding of Scripture and Christ-centered pastoral ethics• Compassionate, trustworthy, and sensitive to trauma-informed ministry• Comfortable working in digital spaces (Discord, Zoom, chat-based or voice-based support)• Able to maintain strict confidentiality and ethical integrity in all care settings• Supportive of Christcord’s mission of radical inclusivity and restorative graceFormal ministry training or chaplaincy certification is preferred but not required.
