Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating transportation activities, ensuring timely delivery of freight, and maintaining effective communication between drivers and clients. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in transportation management systems, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Must Specialize and have experience in dispatching box trucksResponsibilities• Coordinate and schedule transportation activities for freight delivery using GIS and GPS technologies.• Utilize transportation management systems to optimize routes and manage fleet operations effectively.• Monitor shipments and provide real-time updates to clients regarding delivery status.• Analyze data related to logistics and supply chain processes to improve efficiency.• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including data entry into Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine systems.• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers via multi-line phone systems.• Ensure compliance with shipping & receiving protocols and fleet management standards.• Provide exceptional customer service through effective phone etiquette and communication skills.Experience• Proven experience in dispatching or logistics roles for Box Trucks• Familiarity with transportation planning, freight operations, and supply chain management is essential.• Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.• Experience with ELD and HOS regulations• Excellent analysis skills to assess logistical challenges and implement solutions effectively.
