As a Dispatch Operations Specialist, you will be part of a talented team that is responsible for managing the flow of freight into and out of our North American fulfillment centers.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Dispatch Operations Specialist, Remote Gate Management, you will be responsible for:• Delivering outstanding carrier and driver experience/solutions in a contact center environment by researching, problem-solving, setting appropriate expectations, and working within the Amazon Transportation network.• Working in a fast-paced environment and adhering to schedules, including start/stop times, breaks, and lunches.• Supporting workload surges and/or weather-related operations as needed, including working significant overtime during designated high-volume peaks.• Using internal systems to gather data from multiple sources to support reporting on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions and effectively communicate insights to others across Transportation Operations Management (TOM), Amazon Freight Partners (AFP), and Fleet.• Providing support to field teams in driver assignment, load acceptance, and driver/equipment availability.Requirements and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:• 1+ year of experience working with computers and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, and Excel).• A high school or equivalent diploma.• The ability to work 40 hours/week, with overtime as required.• A flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.• To be 18 years of age or older.• 1+ year of call center experience.• A background in customer service/call center, transportation, and/or supply chain environments.• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a lot of growth opportunity.Preferred QualificationsWhile not required, the following qualifications are preferred:• Experience working in a transportation or logistics environment.• Knowledge of transportation management systems and/or logistics operations.• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decisions.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.What We OfferAs a Dispatch Operations Specialist with Amazon's ROC Team, you will have the opportunity to:• Work with a talented and dynamic team that is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.• Develop your skills and expertise in a fast-paced and supportive environment.• Enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package.• Take advantage of opportunities for career growth and professional development.• Work in a flexible and remote environment that allows you to work from anywhere.Company Culture and Work EnvironmentAt Amazon, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
