Job title: Contract Digital Project ManagerDepartment: Project ManagementManager: Director of Project OperationsHappy Cog is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and highly organized Contract Digital Project Manager to join our remote team on a short-term, full-time basis. We are looking for a reliable individual to step in and ensure continuity and successful project delivery for a key period.Contract Details• Term: Approximately four months (with possibility to extend)• Schedule: Full-time contract• Target Start Date: ASAP, Ideally before November 1st• Target End Date: EOM February 2026• Location: 100% remoteRole & FocusIn this client-facing role, you will be responsible for leading projects from kick-off to completion. Your primary focus will be on taking over the management of a couple of our existing retainer accounts and jumping on any new short-term projects that pop up. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams to bring exceptional digital experiences to life for our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Management• Lead and manage multiple simultaneous digital projects throughout their entire lifecycle.• Coordinate and guide multidisciplinary internal project teams, including those in different geographic locations.• Collaborate with Business Development to understand project scope and disseminate Statements of Work (SOWs).• Manage, control, and report on project budgets, providing status updates to clients and internal management.• Clearly communicate project timelines, including milestones, deadlines, and deliverables, to all internal teams and clients.• Serve as the primary point-of-contact for all project stakeholders, including executive-level communication.Project Execution & Control• Develop and maintain essential project documentation, including project, financial, acceptance, and communication plans.• Monitor and control project scope, managing change requests efficiently.• Proactively identify, define, and communicate risks to both internal teams and clients, working towards effective resolutions.• Proficiency in various project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall, with the ability to select and tailor the best approach for each project.• Coordinate with QA leads to ensure all baseline criteria are met for successful client review and approval.Skills & QualificationsRequired• Proven experience managing medium to large-scale digital design and development projects within an interactive agency environment.• Solid understanding of core project management processes, including requirements development, scope definition, communication, budgeting, resource management, risk identification, and client engagement.• Experience leading and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including SEO, Content, UX, Design, Development, and QA.• Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with internal departments, cross-functional teams, key senior stakeholders, and clients.• Demonstrated ability to manage technical projects effectively.Nice to Haves• Proficiency in G Suite• Experience with content management systems (CMS) a plusCompensationCompetitive contract rate commensurate with experience.About Happy Cog:Happy Cog is a growing interactive agency of 80+ people, all working 100% remotely.We design, develop, and market websites and mobile apps for a wide variety of clients -- everyone from small startups, to Fortune 100s.
