In this role, you will create engaging, high-quality written content that educates, inspires, and empowers developers to leverage Vonage's Network APIs and other products. Your expertise will help drive developer adoption, foster a thriving community, and ensure Vonage continues delivering innovative products that provide an exceptional developer experience.As a Developer Advocate, you will bridge developer communities and Vonage's API product teams. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and share compelling content showcasing Vonage's APIs' capabilities and applications, inspiring developers to innovate with these technologies.Your key responsibilities:• Produce and publish weekly, high-quality articles for the Vonage Developer Blog.• Craft tutorials, how-tos, and deep dives that demonstrate the capabilities and use cases of Vonage APIs.• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure content accuracy and relevance.• Engage with the developer community through comments, social channels, and feedback.• Help shape the editorial direction of the blog to address developer needs and highlight new product features.• Support the planning, content selection, and workflow management for the monthly Vonage Developer Newsletter.• Bonus: Support the Outreach Team with blog analysis and content improvement.What you’ll bring:Required:• 3+ years writing developer-focused content (blog posts that have code, tutorials, documentation, etc.). Please include an online portfolio when you submit your application to be considered.• Experience with at least one modern programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#).• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and cloud communications platforms.• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and engagingly.• Experience engaging with developer communities via blogs, forums, or social media.• Ability to edit, proofread, and maintain a consistent voice and style.What we consider a plus:• Content Management Systems (e.g., Storyblok, Contentful)• Code sharing platforms (e.g., GitHub, GitLab)• Analytics tools (e.g., Adobe, Amplitude)• Community engagement platforms (e.g., Disqus, Discord, Slack)• Newsletter tools (e.g., HubSpot)Where you will work:This position offers a remote work arrangement based out of the United States.Sponsorship is not available.
