Job Title: Data AnalystLocation:Remote Type: Contract Contractor Work Model: Remote Data Analyst (Remote - 6-Month Contract, Likely Extension) Location: Fully Remote (U.S) Duration: 6-Month Contract (Strong potential for extension) Employment Type: Contract / W-2 Overview We are seeking a Data Analyst to support our Product Management teams in making data-driven decisions that influence our digital product strategy. This individual will play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful insights, helping guide strategic initiatives across a large, fast-paced organization.The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in R, SQL, and Python with a solid theoretical and research foundation in data analysis. They will manage both ongoing data tracking efforts and ad hoc analytical requests, requiring a blend of rigor, adaptability, and clear communication. Key Responsibilities+ Partner with Product Managers and internal stakeholders to understand data needs and provide actionable insights to drive product decisions.+ Track and analyze data trends over time, identifying key performance metrics and emerging patterns across digital product lines.+ Handle ad hoc data requests efficiently, delivering quick-turn, accurate analyses that inform immediate business questions.+ Design and maintain analytical frameworks, dashboards, and reports to visualize key insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.+ Utilize R scripting (and Python, if applicable) to automate data cleaning, transformation, and visualization processes.+ Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate large datasets from multiple sources.+ Apply sound theoretical and research principles to ensure statistical validity and interpretive accuracy in all analyses.+ Present findings and recommendations clearly, translating data into compelling narratives that support business objectives.Qualifications+ 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Research Analyst, ideally within a large or complex organization.+ Proficiency in R for scripting, modeling, and visualization.+ Strong working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and transformation.+ Experience with Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, etc.) is highly preferred.+ Demonstrated ability to conduct longitudinal data analysis and track trends over time.+ Solid grounding in statistical theory, research design, and data methodology.+ Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a plus.+ Excellent soft skills-able to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and collaborate effectively across departments.+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
