Laptop (Mac is our computer of choice) and EcoFlow inverter• 12 weeks paid Parental Leave benefits• 20 working days annual leave + 10 paid national holidays• Medical/RA benefit• Internet benefits• Full access to our employee assistance program (EAP) through Company Wellness• Annual education stipend for lifelong learningKey Responsibilities• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure.• Enforce cloud governance, security, and compliance policies effectively.• Document, log, and resolve operational or security findings, ensuring clear resolutions are recorded.• Generate insights and reports to optimize cloud usage and costs.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure, security, and operational initiatives.• Support the modernization of legacy systems through standardized, automated infrastructure practices.• Monitor cloud services and respond promptly to operational or security incidents.• Maintain comprehensive documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing materials.Required Skills• Cloud Expertise: Proven experience with AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, including hands-on use of AWS CLI, VPC, EC2, ECR, ECS, AutoScaling, and CodeDeploy.• DevOps Tooling: Proficient with Terraform and GitHub (including GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and general Git workflows) (1-3 years’ experience with both).• Linux Administration: Strong proficiency in Linux administration (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux).• Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies like Docker, ECR, and ECS.• Database Management: Experience administering and scaling relational databases (MySQL and PostgreSQL) within the AWS environment.• Security Acumen: Familiarity with cloud security best practices and internal testing processes.Preferred Skills• AWS Solutions Architect• Cloud security and cost optimization strategies• Understanding of the AWS Six Pillars• Exposure to complex cloud and infrastructure projectsBonus Skills• Experience writing software in PHP or PythonPersonal Attributes• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving abilities• Communication: Strong communication skills• Adaptability: Fast learner with the ability to work independently Eligibility Requirements:This position is based in South Africa.
