As we expand into new markets and launch the Ebonized Chill Tour and other ventures we’re seeking a strategic, business-minded legal leader to join our executive team and help shape the foundation of our growth⚖️ Role OverviewWe’re looking for a Chief Legal Officer (CLO) to oversee and manage all legal affairs for Music Evolved Records. This individual will play a key leadership role in ensuring compliance, protecting our intellectual property, managing contracts, and guiding the company’s legal and risk management strategy as we scale.You’ll work directly with the CEO and other executive leaders to provide legal insight and structure across all aspects of the business, from artist relations to investor agreements.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all legal matters for Music Evolved Records, including artist, vendor, sponsorship, and investor contracts.Ensure company-wide legal compliance and adherence to state and federal regulations.Protect and manage intellectual property including trademarks, copyrights, and licensing.Develop and maintain contract templates, negotiation standards, and compliance frameworks.Lead the risk management strategy and ensure proper documentation across all divisions.Provide legal support for new ventures, brand collaborations, and event partnerships.Advise on funding, investor relations, and business development agreement.Compensation StructureMonthly Retainer: Starts at $1,500/month, with potential to scale up to $4,000/month as company operations and revenue expand.Revenue Share: 3% of company profits after breakeven.Performance Bonuses:$500 bonus for every 10 artist, vendor, or investor contracts successfully executed and documented$1,000 bonus for securing licensing, partnership, or sponsorship agreements totaling $25,000+ collectively.$2,000 bonus for achieving full IP and legal protection across all company divisions.$3,000 bonus for leading compliance or contract audits that result in cost savings or reduced legal risk.✈️ Travel Requirement: Approximately 25% travel, including attendance at quarterly executive meetings and select dates of The Ebonized Chill Tour.✅ QualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law (in good standing)5+ years of experience in entertainment law, corporate law, or intellectual property.Proven ability to draft, negotiate, and manage complex contracts.Experience advising startups, music labels, or entertainment organizations preferred.Strong business judgment, attention to detail, and ability to balance risk with growth.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Must be proactive, strategic, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Why Join Music Evolved RecordsBe part of a fast-growing, culture-driven company redefining the music and entertainment landscape.Join an innovative leadership team passionate about empowering artists and building legacy brands.Opportunities for long-term growth, equity participation, and involvement in nationwide events.About the company Join our team at Music Evolved Records and embark on a journey of growth and innovation.
