We are looking for an experienced full-time Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant to help fulfill the vision of our clients which, is to have accurate, up-to-date books. A successful Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain books for multiple small to medium companies at the same time and have excellent time management skills. Must be accurate while working in a fast-paced environment.The Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:• Post or verify daily transactions including but not limited to daily bank feeds, accounts payable, and receivable.• Reconcile or review monthly balance sheet in its entirety• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending• Communicate effectively and professionally to other staff members and clients• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements• Support month-end and year-end close process• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles• Senior Bookkeeper/Accountant Skills*• Proven experience as a senior bookkeeper, accounting supervisor, or senior accountant with multiple clients at once• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)• Familiarity with financial accounting statements• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online a must, preferably certified• Advanced MS Excel skills• Accuracy and attention to detail• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills• BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevantJob Type: Full-timePay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per yearBenefits:• 401(k)• 401(k) matching• Dental insurance• Health insurance• Paid time off• Vision insurance• Work from homeApplication Question(s):• Describe an accounting process that you developed or improved.• Have you worked with multiple clients simultaneously?
