If so, we’re looking for you!This is a unique remote, full-time position for an experienced bilingual (Spanish-English) Family Law Paralegal. Because the role does not involve providing legal advice or practicing law, we are not considering candidates who have earned a Juris Doctor (JD) or law degree, whether from the U.S. or foreign.You will work closely with our solo attorney and new bilingual Associate Attorney, supporting out-of-court divorce and mediation cases and some litigation.This role offers significant growth potential for the right candidate.About the FirmA well respected Florida Family Law Firm specializing in mediation, collaborative and uncontested divorce.We help clients navigate divorce without the emotional stress and expensive courtroom litigation and are passionate about resolving conflict and co-creating lasting solutions. We have helped thousands of families experience a more peaceful and positive outcome.Later this year, it is anticipated that a bilingual Associate Attorney will also be joining the firm.Education and Requirements• 3+ years Paralegal experience in US Family Law divorce cases (REQUIRED)• Paralegal Certification or Degree (REQUIRED)• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills (REQUIRED)• US resident (FLORIDA EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED)• Solid understanding of FLORIDA court systems, forms, and procedures (REQUIRED)• Working knowledge of Lawmatics, Clio, Dialpad and Slack• Willingness and the ability to become proficient and use the systems already in place• Tech savvy with excellent software skills• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Drive• Excellent professional interpersonal and research skills• Works well independently with excellent attention to detail• Ability to efficiently handle cases from start to finish and prioritize a busy workload• Resourceful, proactive and highly organized• Calm, compassionate, professional demeanor• Quiet working environment with reliable internet• Current or recent professional referencesResponsibilities• Preparation, review and management of legal documents, including financials with a high degree of accuracy• Be available to take calls from potential clients and do case evaluations to screen and qualify clients if Intake Specialist is on another call or is not available• Schedule consults, mediations and court hearings for attorney(s)• Be available to participate with and translate for attorney(s) on Zoom consults and mediations for Spanish-speaking clients• Translate documents when needed• Case review conferences with attorney(s) as needed• Review and maintain busy calendar and proactively manage all important deadlines to ensure that nothing slips through the cracks• Use the systems already in place and suggest process improvements and contribute to system efficiency• Document all client and lead interactions and continually update tasks for yourself and attorney throughout the day• Respond promptly to calls, emails, and texts from clients, courts, and attorneys• Manage billing and invoicing processes, including time entry and monthly statements• Complete occasional time-sensitive tasks outside business hours when necessaryBenefits• Salary: $50,000 - $75,000 (commensurate with experience)• One week of paid time off for every 6 months worked (up to two weeks maximum per year)• Holiday pay for 10 designated holidays + one additional paid day off for your birthday or personal wellness• Potential for 2 additional weeks of paid time off between Christmas and New Years• Monthly home internet stipend ($50–$75/month)Professional Development:• CLE or certification reimbursement ($300–$500/year, with prior approval)• Paid Florida Bar FRP dues (if certified)• Membership in local or state paralegal associations• Reimbursement for software program access (e.g., Clio, Lawmatics)• Remotely work from homeHow To Apply:Submit your resume and cover letter outlining your US family law and divorce paralegal experience here:Only applicants selected for further consideration will be contacted and asked to answer some additional questions and provide 3 current or recent professional references.
