Responsibilities• Develop and implement the battery recycling strategy for Europe in line with EU Battery Regulation (2023/1542), WEEE requirements and relevant local legislation• Work closely with internal Legal and external consulting partners to ensure compliance with all reporting and recycling obligations and their future developments• Prepare periodical declarations of retired or end-of-life batteries as needed Identify as needed recycling and logistics partners for used battery collection, transport, and processing.• Maintain records and documentation for waste tracking, recovery certificates, and regulatory audits.• Support field service and after-sales teams in managing handling of end-of-life batteries.• Provide periodic recycling and compliance reports to management and HQ.• Support company sustainability and ESG initiatives related to battery lifecycle management.• Cooperate with Legal and Procurement departments for negotiations with recycling suppliers, consultants, partners• Participate in and coordinate external audits related to battery recycling compliance.• Support Sales Team for recycling strategy and set up discussions with customers Requirements• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline.• Minimum 2-3years of experience in battery recycling, waste management, or environmental compliance within the energy or e-mobility sector.• Knowledge of EU Battery Regulation, WEEE Directive, and hazardous waste transport (ADR).• Experience working with consulting firms or compliance service providers preferred.• Strong communication and coordination skills to work across international teams (Europe HQ & China HQ).• Fluent in English (German, French, or Spanish is a plus).
