Anticipated Compensation: $24 - $28 per hourThis is a remote position working one day per week on-site at our Pueblo, CO office (must reside within commuting distance of office).Schedule: Monday – Friday, daytime business hoursThe Authorization and Orders Nurse is responsible for reviewing authorization requests, ensuring compliance with state and agency requirements, and coordinating patient services with providers, patients, and families. The role also includes documentation, chart audits, and support with orders management.In This Role, You Will• Perform evaluation of clients receiving services under a medically approved Plan of Care.• Collaborate with internal staff and external providers to coordinate patient care.• Perform clinical reviews of authorization requests using appropriate criteria. Provide accurate and complete documentation with rationale used to approve requests.• Gather supporting documentation (letters of medical necessity, specialist notes, history & physicals, etc.) for PAR submissions.• Enter and maintain clinical information in multiple health management systems.• Prepare social histories to augment services or guide changes in level of service, considering family relationships and meaning of illness to the client/family.• Conduct chart audits for compliance and process incoming faxes.• Participate in case conferences, department meetings, and other agency initiatives.• Write and review orders in alignment with licensure.Qualifications• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure (Colorado or compact state)• Graduate of an accredited Nursing program• High school diploma or equivalent required• Home health or prior authorization experience highly preferred• Proficiency with MS Office• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skillsWhy Angels of CareIn addition to our great benefits, we offer a fun and supportive culture rooted in our values of Heart, Advocacy, Love, Outreach, and Speed (HALOS).
