Teaching assignments may be temporary, part-time and/or on-call and may be immediate or as needed (as specified in Education Code 8748.25).We are seeking lecturers with the ability to teach in the above area for inclusion in a pool for the 2026 Spring semester.The Opportunity:As an adjunct faculty member, you will teach DNTL 4075 – Capstone Course: Teaching in Dental Hygiene Programs (3 units). This course provides dental hygienists with the foundations and resources necessary to become effective educators in dental health care as faculty members. Emphasis is placed on the development and implementation of a capstone project, including project description, assessment tools, goals, objectives, and activities.Note: Courses in the baccalaureate completion program are offered asynchronous onlineMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS• The minimum qualifications for this adjunct lecturer pool can be met with a master’s degree in Education, Dental Technology or closely related discipline; OR• the equivalent (an Equivalency Requested Form may be submitted with the application); AND• Must show a demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS• Master’s or doctoral degree in Dentistry, Education, or a closely related field.• Experience as a Dental HygienistCOMPENSATION: $77.02-$90.50 per hourREQUIRED MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION:• Letter of Introduction describing how you match the minimum and desired qualifications.• A current Resume• Complete transcripts of all college/university coursework (unofficial is acceptable).• Three (3) professional references.FOREIGN TRANSCRIPTSTranscripts issued outside the United States of America require a course-by-course analysis with an equivalency statement from a certified transcript evaluation service verifying the degree equivalency to that of an accredited institution within the USA.
