Currently, Bedrock owns and manages approximately 3,000 units in central Florida. Bedrock Communities has raised approximately $200 million in equity, across three funds, to invest in the manufactured housing sector and manages a portfolio valued at over $350 million.RoleBedrock is seeking a detail oriented, hands-on, Accounts Payable Clerk. This role will report directly to the Accounts Payable Associate and the CFO. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to be a part of a dynamic and growing company that has doubled in size and in the number of units under management in the last year.LocationThis role is location specific. The individual will be working in the Westport Connecticut office 3 days a week and Remote 2 days a week.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe position requires that the candidate work in a variety of capacities within AP, including:• Be part of the accounts payable process from start to finish, including receiving, processing, assigning, verifying, and reconciling invoices• Managing vendors in the system by maintaining payment information and verifying federal id numbers• Downloading and recording all utility bills• Communicating with property utility companies during the property onboarding process• Issuing 1099s annually• Reviewing expense reports for all firm employees.• Assist with all month-end close procedures for each property• Preparation and analysis of property cash flowsOther responsibilities may include:• Timely, accurate bank reconciliations• Reconcile general ledger accounts• Manage all intercompany payables and receivables• Assist in budget preparation• Generate schedules and ad hoc financial reports• Other financial and operating projects as neededRequirements• Applicant must have prior experience in accounts payable and a basic knowledge of accounting.• Real Estate property management experience and or experience using QuickBooks, Concur, or Yardi is a plus but not required.• The candidate must be a self-starter with a strong desire to work hard and contribute in a small entrepreneurial work environment.• Proficiency with Excel• Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy• Demonstrated ability to preserve confidentiality of information• Team player with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills• Ability to work autonomously, be proactive, multi-task and work collaboratively across departmentsAs a full-time employee, benefits include medical, dental, life and long-term disability insurances, and PTO.
