As a Home Instruction Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing personalized education to students with diverse needs, including those with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will work closely with students, families, and educators to develop and implement tailored learning plans that cater to each student's unique needs and abilities.Key Responsibilities• Provides substantive, specific, and timely feedback of student progress to students, families, and other school personnel while maintaining confidentiality.• Uses effective communication strategies with students and families and works effectively with colleagues to examine problems of practice, analyze student work, and identify targeted strategies.• Meets ethical and professional responsibilities with integrity and honesty, modeling and upholding district policies and state and federal regulations.• Ensures the safety of students and makes provisions for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.• Informs parents of child's progress and collaborates with the student's family to schedule a time and place for instructions as appropriate to meet the student's needs.• Acts as the student's IEP case manager (if applicable), responsible for writing the IEP, holding necessary meetings, and progress reports as required.• Provides written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor and maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, administrative guidelines, or specific program requirements.• Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and instruction.• Conducts student assessments and observation surveys to select children for services and assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.• Collaborates, as needed, with appropriate district personnel regarding students who may need specialized interventions.• Strives to maintain and improve professional competence through professional development activities and attends meetings and serves on staff committees as required.Essential Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.• Valid teaching certification or licensure in the state of Ohio.• Experience working with students with diverse needs, including those with IEPs.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Strong organizational and time management skills.• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Preferred Qualifications• Master's degree in Education or a related field.• Experience working in a home instruction or special education setting.• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to special education.• Experience with IEP development and
