This person acts as a brand ambassador applying brand, legal, and style guidelines across all channels as well as a grammar expert fixing syntax, punctuation, and spelling errors. The editor/proofreader is committed to producing high-quality deliverables that provide an optimal reader experience. What you will be doing:Study internal guidelines to apply current style and usage, advocating client's content standards. Provide relevant editorial feedback at various stages of a project. Manage a variety of projects (short and long) and shift priorities as needed. Attend status meetings and prepare for pipeline work and potential overlaps. Understand internal processes and workstreams and uphold their integrity. Document unique procedures or projects to help cross-train editorial teammates. What you need to be great in this role:2+ years of proofreading experience required; editing experience a plus. Agency and/or studio experience preferred. Organized, self-starter, and solutions-oriented. Skilled communicator able to articulate project needs and challenges. Excellent attention to detail and deep knowledge of grammar and style. Flexible and agile when timelines or objectives shift. Diplomatic and collaborative spirit when working with colleagues. Comfortable contributing ideas to optimize procedures. Technical or procedural writing/editing experience a plus. Proficient in MS Word (Track Changes) and Adobe Acrobat Pro (Text Markup Tool). Experience with ProofHQ (Workfront) or other online proofing tool. Experience with a project management system (e.g., Workfront, Wrike, Trello, monday.com). At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $51,000.00 to $57,000.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
