<h2>Job Description</h2><div><div><p>We are seeking a Paralegal to join a leading global financial institution and to work closely within their Europe Legal Department. This is a critical position based in their London office, supporting bank's operations across London and Europe, and reporting directly to the Head of Legal for Europe. This is an initial 9-12 months contract.</p><p>As a Paralegal, you will play a pivotal role in delivering commercial, risk-based legal services, with a focus on third-party contract management and GDPR compliance, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies to safeguard bank's reputation.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li>Reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and advising on local and cross-border third-party contracts and intragroup agreements for GlobalBank Europe.</li><li>Managing and updating legal agreement templates to align with Bank and industry standards.</li><li>Providing commercial, risk-based counsel on contract management processes and resolving contractual disputes.</li><li>Advising on complex GDPR-related issues, including projects, contracts, policies, and ad-hoc queries.</li><li>Supporting the London legal team in delivering legal services, including coordinating external counsel and managing external legal spend.</li><li>Ensuring all activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies to mitigate risks.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Proven experience in third-party legal contract management, ideally within a financial institution.</li><li>Strong understanding of GDPR and its application to local and cross-border legal issues.</li><li>Ability to manage a large legal workload, take ownership of tasks, and thrive in a high-pressure environment.</li><li>Exceptional integrity, common sense, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.</li><li>Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment in complex and demanding settings.</li><li>High energy, proactiveness, and a results-oriented approach to meeting tight deadlines.</li><li>Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure.</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>Initial 9-12 months contract</li><li>Salary £400 per day (Umbrella) or £295 PAYE</li></ul></div></div>
