Experience will extend to working within a busy ward and professional, multi-disciplinary teams. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to join a thriving busy team and wants to work with excellent staff to patient ratios.</p><h2>About us</h2><p>Located in leafy St Johns Wood on the Jubilee line, minutes from Central London, our luxury private Hospital has an international reputation for providing the highest quality of care to patients and is unique in that all profits fund our onsite Hospice, St Johns</p><div><h2>Job description</h2><h2>Job responsibilities</h2><ul><li>To assist in the planning of patient care and the delivery of an excellent care service.</li><li>To participate in the efficient operational management of the department, providing support to the shift leaders and Ward Manager</li><li>To undertake tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Ward Manager supporting the management and development of the nursing care and the delivery of the service</li><li>To provide support to the Ward Manager, Deputy ward Manager and shift leaders</li><li>To undertake a link nurse role(s) for designated clinical responsibilities, attend meetings and complete associated actions attached to the link nurse role</li><li>To ensure the provision of a welcoming, caring and safe environment for patients and their families.</li><li>To maintain a clean and safe environment including but not limited to: patients room, ward hallway, store rooms & nurses station.</li><li>To participate in the maintenance of the stores, supplies and utilise consumables effectively.</li><li>To be flexible in working patterns, including weekends, depending on the need and ward activities</li><li>To be flexible and adaptable in working in different departments when needed and during department closures.</li><li>To escort patients to other departments and on as needs basis to other hospitals.</li><li>To complete all nursing documentation in line with the Hospitals policies, procedures and protocols.</li><li>To undertake daily, weekly and monthly safety checks on the ward when assigned accordingly</li><li>To chaperone / assist consultants with procedures and assist nurses when carry out nursing interventions.</li><li>To undertake weight and height measurements, collection and sampling of urine, MRSA swab, CPE swab, bloods and accurately record all findings. Any abnormalities to be reported to the nurses.</li><li>To undertake the clinical tasks involved with admissions, preparing patients for investigations and procedures and going to theatre, doing appropriate referrals to other health care staff and facilities and discharging patients.</li><li>Adhere to Hospitals Policy for Manual Handling</li><li>To maintain confidentiality surrounding patient treatment at all times.</li><li>To have knowledge of and adhere to the Department and Hospital policy and professional standards.</li><li>To be aware and comply with all Infection Control policies and ensure best practice is maintained to ensure low infection rates.</li><li>To ensure compliance with mandatory training</li><li>To ensure the required competency are obtained for job role</li><li>To ensure awareness of incidents and complaints in the hospital and comply to recommendations and shared learning to prevent reoccurrence.</li></ul></div><p>See more <a href=\"#\">remote jobs</a>.</p> #J-18808-Ljbffr
