ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic individual to join our busy and expanding team in this Warehouse based role. You would join our Warehouse team and play a vital role receiving, storing, picking, packing, and assisting with shipping goods to our clients' offices.

Warehouse Operative – Job Description

Goods Inwards

  • Receive, check, and sign for all incoming stock promptly.
  • Enter deliveries into the stock control system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Verify Best Before End (BBE) dates and ensure all products match purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Inspect incoming goods and report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies immediately.

Stock Management

  • Assist with regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure all products are stored in the correct warehouse locations, clearly labelled and organised for accessibility.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures when storing and handling stock.

Warehouse Operations

  • Unload deliveries by hand or using a forklift, following safe handling procedures.
  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately, ensuring items are packaged securely for transport.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free warehouse environment in line with health and safety standards.

Additional Duties

  • Collect or purchase items from local shops when required.
  • Support wider warehouse or operational tasks as needed.

PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience working in a warehouse is preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving items of varying weights.
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing
  • Good appreciation of health & safety
  • Dedication and flexibility as company needs can fluctuate
  • Reliable with good time management skills
  • Able to work efficiently on your own and as part of the team
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Forklift trained - desirable

* Experience handling fresh goods and produce is a bonus but not essential
