Job Summary

HR Service Jobs is hiring a Virtual Online Bookstore Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our digital bookstore. This remote role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in e-commerce, digital content curation, inventory management, and online customer service. The successful candidate will ensure a seamless online shopping experience, optimize inventory and product listings, manage promotions, and supervise virtual staff while enhancing overall profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the virtual bookstore, including product listings, order fulfillment, and inventory tracking.

  • Curate, categorize, and upload new book titles (eBooks, audiobooks, and print-on-demand) regularly based on trends and customer preferences.

  • Manage pricing strategies, discounts, and promotional campaigns to drive traffic and sales.

  • Coordinate with digital publishers, authors, and third-party distributors.

  • Monitor website analytics and sales performance; recommend strategies for growth and engagement.

  • Handle online customer support queries and maintain high service standards.

  • Supervise and guide a team of virtual assistants and freelance contributors.

  • Ensure compliance with digital copyright laws, online commerce regulations, and platform policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, E-commerce, Digital Marketing, or related field.

  • Proven experience managing or assisting in an online bookstore or e-commerce site.

  • Familiarity with platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or Amazon Seller Central.

  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and leadership abilities.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of digital publishing formats (PDF, EPUB, MOBI) is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).

Experience

Working Hours

  • Flexible remote schedule with expected availability between 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST, Monday to Friday.

  • Occasional weekend availability may be required during special promotions or sales events.
