Tech Ops Lead

This is a unique opportunity to develop your career as Technology Operations leader at Time Doctor during an exciting period of hypergrowth. You’ll work closely with internal revenue-generating teams to design and deliver solutions that will enable Time Doctor to scale and remain the market leader. All of this will be achieved through your ability to both deliver commercial solutions and collaborate with a team of talented engineers, product managers, and department heads. This is a full-time position, reporting to the VP of Engineering.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own the integrity, governance, analytics, and reporting of all the data related to the operation of the commercial teams.
  • Establishes organizational policies and procedures around data governance, analytics, and reporting.
  • Accountable for the successful implementation and maintenance of all third-party integrations (tech stack) required by the commercial teams to run revenue operations.
  • Responsible for overall software strategy that drives the tech stack.
  • Responsible for creating and implementing business procedures related to the use of the technology stack by the commercial teams.
  • Responsible for the procurement, implementation, and management of all third-party tools related to the technology stack used by the commercial teams.
  • Oversee development and roll-out of new IT systems and business process redesign and integration, in accordance with plans.
  • Recommend strategies for training and adoption of new technologies and support their implementation in partnership with organizational change efforts.
  • Support the creation of elegant and well-tested code that’s easy to maintain within the Tec stack.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, clear documentation, and problem resolution.
  • Analyse and translate business and functional specifications and change requests into technical specifications.
  • Understand and follow Data Governance and ensure attention to data quality.
  • Collaborate and contribute as part of a team that includes product managers, designers, and front-end engineers.
  • Use your combined business and engineering mindset to have an impact on how we’re able to continually improve the experience of our commercial teams from a functional and scale perspective.
  • Continually learn and research technology operations trends to ensure that we’re always using the most appropriate technology available.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum Qualification:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.
  • Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles.
  • At least 2 years of TechOps Leadership position.
  • Proficient in managing technical human resources to meet the requirements of the commercial teams.
  • Experience with CRM and marketing automation technologies such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, etc.
  • Experience working with customer data platforms such as Segment.
  • Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems.
  • Hands-on experience with Distributed Architecture, building RESTful services, XML/JSON, and modern Application Servers.
  • Knowledge of API design, including versioning, isolation and micro-services.
  • Experience with designing and implementing ETL processes and the use of ETL tools.
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database management systems.
  • Experience with test-driven development and continuous delivery, ideally in a product-focused SaaS environment.
  • Experience working with GCP and AWS.
  • Creative thinker with natural interest in finding solutions to new problems.

This is a 100%-remote position.
