<h2>Job Description</h2><div><div><p><strong>📢 Permanent Opportunity – EHC Coordinators – Medway Council – £31,283–£37,181 💼</strong></p><p>Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities?</p><p><strong>Medway Council</strong> is seeking <strong>five experienced Education Health and Care (EHC) Coordinators</strong> to join our <strong>SEND and Inclusion Service</strong> on a <strong>permanent</strong> basis.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong><em>To be considered for this role you MUST have Local authority experience:</em></strong></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><strong>💰 Salary:</strong> £31,283 - £37,181 per annum</p><p><strong>📍 Location:</strong> Hybrid – Gun Wharf Office + Medway Hubs (3 days/week)</p><p><strong>📅 Contract:</strong> Permanent</p><p><strong>About the Role:</strong> As an EHC Coordinator, you will manage the full lifecycle of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for young people aged 0-25. You’ll work collaboratively with families, schools, and professionals to ensure every plan is tailored, outcome-focused, and fully compliant with statutory requirements.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Manage and review EHCPs in line with legal and policy frameworks</li><li>Act as the main point of contact for families and professionals</li><li>Work closely with education, health, and social care providers</li><li>Ensure compliance with the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice (2015)</li><li>Maintain accurate records and support continuous service improvement</li></ul><p><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong> ✅ Previous <strong>local authority casework</strong> experience is <strong>essential</strong></p><p>✅ Strong knowledge of both <strong>pre-14 and post-14</strong> education pathways</p><p>✅ Proven experience managing EHCPs and navigating statutory processes</p><p>✅ Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills</p><ul><li>Stable <strong>permanent employment</strong></li><li>Hybrid working model with flexibility</li><li>Supportive, experienced team environment</li><li>Clear focus on improving outcomes for young people with SEND</li></ul><p>Interested in applying or referring a candidate?
