Overview Senior Actuary / Underwriter - Actuarial Sciences - Specialized in Medical Insurance pricing Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Actuary specialized in the medical field to join our team. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and growth opportunities. Location: UAE Contract: 6 Months (Extendable) Budget: $600-$700 / day Responsibilities
Conduct thorough analysis of medical insurance policies and claims data to assess risk and determine appropriate premiums Develop and maintain actuarial models to forecast future costs and premiums Collaborate with underwriters and other team members to develop new insurance products and improve existing ones Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of medical insurance plans and make recommendations for improvement Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to medical insurance to ensure compliance and competitive advantage Communicate complex actuarial concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner Mentor and train junior actuaries and provide guidance on actuarial methodologies and techniques
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field Must have medical insurance pricing experience Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or equivalent designation Minimum of 5 years of experience as an actuary, with a focus on medical insurance Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in actuarial software and programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
