Job objectives and responsibilities: to provide exceptional leadership and direction in the management of the Security Team which is responsible for supporting and managing all centre operations during retailer trading hours. To provide clear and timely communication to all within the centre and management on key issues that affect the business operation and customer service delivery. Ensure that the interests of Our client, their Guests and retailers are fully protected at all times and conduct yourself accordingly, as their representative, responsible for the live operation of the MITIE Security Team that manages the essential functions of the centre.</p><p>---</p><h2>Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Manage the live operation of the MITIE Security Team covering all essential functions for centre operations.</li><li>Oversee all common and public areas of the shopping centre, emergency and evacuation procedures, health, safety & welfare of security personnel, incident management, building security and safety.</li><li>Provide leadership and direction to security personnel on duty to ensure issues are dealt with correctly and in a timely manner.</li><li>Provide timely and effective communication to the centre management and MITIE management on incidents, serious incident tracking, absence and lateness reporting, and officer misconduct.</li><li>Ensure all incidents are logged and managed effectively through to completion; investigate and report on all incidents/accidents.</li><li>Liaise and build relationships with retailers and other suppliers; manage personnel deployment on the Mall, Car Park and Service Yards; manage officer allocation during events.</li><li>Provide senior management support outside core hours, as requested.</li><li>Complete and check all accident and health and safety reports and entries to Safeguard; manage Centre Lock Down / Unlock; conduct weekly audits on security activities and equipment checks; ensure standards of dress, safety and presentation are maintained.</li><li>Provide training and coaching to staff to enhance performance; ensure staff are site trained and have signed Assignment Instructions; conduct 121s and appraisals; assist in recruitment for the centre security team.</li><li>Arrange regular meetings with the Senior Security Team; handle daily enquiries related to centre security operations; develop and maintain good working relations with local agencies and services.</li><li>Adhere to Group and company policies and procedures; report deficiencies that may risk service delivery, health and safety or the environment; use PPE properly and report training needs to Line Manager or via incident reporting system.</li><li>Information Security: ensure compliance with Mitie\'s information security procedures in all activities; proactively identify and report security risks to your manager.</li></ul><h2>Qualifications and Requirements</h2><ul><li>Holder of a valid Door Supervisor licence.</li><li>Holder of a valid PSS (CCTV) licence.</li><li>Ability to monitor and challenge the use of processes; excellent communication and relationship-building skills.</li><li>Enthusiastic, motivational, with a drive for excellence; ability to take initiative and drive for results; organised with sound judgement.</li><li>Honest, transparent and consistent; gain and hold the respect of others; flexible with a can-do attitude.</li><li>To be fully conversant with the methods of working of all equipment and ensure it meets centre standards.</li></ul><h2>Role Details</h2><ul><li>Role: Security Shift Manager (cover) at The Bentalls Shopping Centre, Kingston upon Thames.</li><li>Salary: £36,901.50; 42 hours on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.</li><li>Maternity cover: 12 months fixed term contract.</li><li>Company values and behaviours: our values and commitments to deliver exceptional service, integrity, teamwork, and diversity.</li></ul><p>Our values: Delivering the exceptional, every day; Our purpose and promise to our people and customers; One Mitie culture and our commitment to integrity, results, diversity, and collaboration.</p></div> #J-18808-Ljbffr
