They are on a mission to expand their customer base and provide exceptional products/services to a wider range of customers and markets. To support this growth, our client is seeking to expand their existing Sales team through the hiring of two market-focused Sales Engineers.The ideal candidates must have a proven track record of building strong sales / order pipelines, closing new business, and exceeding sales targets and growth rates. These positions will report directly to the CEO and will be a critical component to the growth of the organization in North America.Position Overview• The Sales Engineer is responsible for creating new revenue opportunities with new and existing customers, exceeding the company’s sales targets for new business growth.• This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, the ability to drive pipeline velocity, and a proven record hunting for and closing new business within the target market segment.• This individual will be evaluated on managing the front end of the sales process, identifying and qualifying prospects, developing value propositions with compelling ROI’s and working closely with our client’s inside sales team to close projects with new customers.• This individual will report directly to the CEO and will be a critical component to the growth of the organization. The Sales Engineer is expected to add multiple new contracted wins with targeted revenue in the $500k – $1M+ annually.Essential Duties & Job Functions• Meet or exceed the quarterly sales goals set by the CEO.• Meet or exceed sales KPIs set by the CEO and Sales Operations team, which are measured weekly to support the achievement of Quarterly Sales Targets. Typical KPIs include new customer outreach, lead follow up, in person customer visits, quantity and quality of quotations issued, and trade shows attended.• Identify new business opportunities that align with the company’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and cultivate relationships with key customers and stakeholders via in person and virtual meetings.• Provide expert technical consultation on polymer base optics and photonics solutions to customers and prospective customers.• Collaborate with internal technical teams to develop customized solutions and proposals that meet customers' objectives.• Utilize Hub Spot CRM to ensure all reporting and measurement is driven from a single platform.• Leverage the Sales Play Systems and our client’s Sales Process, which are anchored in their Qualification Framework MEDDICC (Metrics, Economic Buyer, Decision Criteria, Decision Process, Identify Pain, and Champion.)• Research potential customers by leveraging all publicly available information to establish a knowledge base and network that will enhance your selling efforts.• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to refine sales strategies.• Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to drive integrated sales initiatives.Essential Job Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Optics or a related technical field preferred but not required.• 3+ years of experience in technical sales, preferably within the optics and photonics industry; experience selling to OEMs in either the automotive, medical device or biomedical fields is a plus.• Proven success in driving revenue growth and developing sales strategies.• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.• Experience working with CRM software and data-driven sales tools.• Ability to develop and execute strategic business plans.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.• Ability to travel as needed up to 50% of the time is expected.• Demonstrates skill…
