To learn more about Baptist Health, visit us at Highlights: Summary: The RN - Clinical Informatics Specialist shall be responsible to serve as a resource for clinical applications. The RN will collaborate with leadership to coordinate and facilitate workflow and process improvements in relation to IT systems. The RN will provide initial training to new physician medical staff, residents, locums, and midlevel providers, as well as to provide continuing education for physician staff and super-users. The RN will resolve problems quickly and efficiently in collaboration with IT clinical analysts while utilizing the change management process. Additionally, the RN will also assist IT with implementations and system upgrades of inpatient clinical applications. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role. Education / Experience: Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience required. Experience as a clinical IT subject matter expert or super-user preferred. License / Certification: Active RN license required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software. Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills. Must be able to meet strict deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to remain calm in difficult situations. Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance. Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards. A demonstrated interest in Healthcare Information Technology (IT) either through course work, experience in a hospital with the selection or implementation of a clinical information system.
