Registered Nurse (Nights) - Tanglewood - Richard House

Currently at Richard House in Grantham we are looking for a Registered Nurse to join on nights to achieve the highest possible standard of care in a professional manner through direct nursing care and effective supervision of staff members and to take management responsibility for a shift as directed.

The position of Registered Nurse is so important and there is much to be carried out on duty including:

· Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with the company’s procedures and NMC guidelines,

· Carry out regular checks on residents at intervals determined by the Registered Manager,

· Assess social and health care needs of new residents, and maintain on-going assessment and review of all other residents,

· Report any ill health amongst clients and make requests for GP / Professional visits where necessary,

· Ensure that clients’ care plans are completed and maintained in conjunction with residents, relatives and any other Health Care Professionals,

· Supervise and instruct junior and new staff members in all aspects of their work in the care home, giving help and guidance where appropriate,

· To build and maintain long standing relationship with residents with a variety of needs,

· To understand residents likes/dislikes and needs throughout the day as it can be daunting for them having different procedures carried out.

· There are certain requirements necessary to be a Registered Nurse at Cedar Falls:

· Registered Nurse, registered with the NMC,

· Previous supervisory experience – support will be given to newly qualified staff.

Mostly you need to have right aptitude for the position as you will be working with some challenging residents and some end of life too. If you are new to care that is okay as we do provide plenty of support and training from long standing staff.
