<p>Job Specification<br /> Position: Programme Manager<br /> Department: AIFS Abroad College Division<br /> Reporting to: Director of Customised Programs<br /> Location: London<br /> Hours: Permanent, Full Time (Minimum of three days in the office, subject to change)</p> <p>About AIFS:<br /> The American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS) was founded in 1964 and has provided educational and cultural exchange programs to over 1.6 million students. AIFS Study Abroad offers various programs for American college students, including customised faculty-led programs and study at local universities in Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.</p> <p>Job Summary/Main Purpose:<br /> AIFS Study Abroad is seeking a Programme Manager for its London Global Education Centre. The main responsibility of this role is to plan and deliver customised study abroad programs to meet agreed standards and budgets.</p> <p>Responsibilities:<br /> – Prepare proposals and create program budgets for new and repeat customised faculty-led and Study Abroad programs globally.<br /> – Collaborate with U.S. faculty to design and deliver programs that align with their academic goals.<br /> – Support program delivery staff in assigned locations, ensuring high student satisfaction levels. This may involve direct interaction with students and faculty.<br /> – Maintain accurate accounts and control program delivery costs for programs under direct responsibility.<br /> – Coordinate all elements of programs within agreed timelines and budgets.<br /> – Develop and update promotional and pre-departure materials for assigned programs.<br /> – Assist in welcoming and meeting with U.S. campus administrators and faculty during visits to program sites.<br /> – Collaborate with groups to create social media content promoting AIFS programs.<br /> – Provide excellent customer service to U.S. faculty and study abroad coordinators, responding to their queries promptly.</p> <p>Performance Indicators:<br /> – Successful program delivery within agreed budgets and timelines.<br /> – Achieve a combined rating of at least 90% excellent and good on student evaluation forms for programs under your responsibility.</p> <p>Skills Required:<br /> Essential:<br /> – Degree level education or equivalent.<br /> – Strong written and oral communication skills.<br /> – Numeracy skills and ability to manage expenditure records.<br /> – Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.<br /> – Well-developed interpersonal skills and a customer service-oriented approach.<br /> – Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<br /> – Commitment to quality, flexibility, and prioritization.<br /> – Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.</p> <p>Desirable:<br /> – Experience living, working, or studying abroad.<br /> – Experience in Higher Education or the study abroad field.<br /> – Fluency or working knowledge of one or more European foreign languages.</p> <p>How to Apply:<br /> Please click the ‘Apply’ button above and submit a current CV and covering letter explaining your suitability for the role by Thursday, February 22, 2024.<br /> Applicants must provide documentary evidence of their eligibility to work in the UK.</p> <p>AIFS UK Ltd is committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and equitable working and learning environment for all.
