Location: Milbank Concrete Products, Earls Colne, Essex

Milbank Concrete Products, a leader in the precast concrete industry, is seeking a Precast Steel Fixer to join our production team. This hands-on role is integral to our manufacturing process, ensuring reinforcement steel is accurately prepared for casting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cut, bend, tie, and weld reinforcement steel to required specifications.
  • Assemble steel cages by tying or welding pre-formed steelwork.
  • Follow detailed CAD drawings and bending schedules to ensure accuracy.

  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to health and safety.

  • Comply with all Milbank Concrete Products (MCP) policies.

  • Double-check all work before casting to prevent errors.

  • Complete equipment husbandry checks on the shopfloor.

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with team leaders to ensure timely orders.

  • Actively participate in 5S (6S) and other projects aimed at continuous improvement and sustainability.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace ("clean as you go" culture).

  • Contribute to layout improvements to enhance efficiency.

  • Experience in steel fixing is essential; industry qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.
