Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and supporting patient care initiatives in an integrated diabetes treatment environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and label medications accurately under pharmacist supervision, ensuring compliance with prescriptions and safety protocols.
  • Assist in medication compounding specific to diabetes treatment needs.
  • Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and storage according to guidelines.
  • Provide patients with basic information on medication usage, side effects, and storage instructions.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to support integrated care plans.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and inventory.
  • Assist in using pharmacy management software and technology platforms related to patient data and medication tracking.
  • Support quality assurance and compliance with healthcare regulations and internal policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area
  • Understand, follow and support all hospital infection control programs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or certification in Pharmacy Technology or related field.
  • Valid Pharmacy Technician license or certification as required by Dubai health authorities.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Knowledge of medication safety, storage, and handling practices.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to best practices in clinical care.


Preferred Skills & Attributes:

  • Experience in endocrinology, diabetes, or chronic disease management is an asset.
  • Familiarity with digital health platforms and remote patient monitoring systems.
  • Multilingual abilities (especially Arabic) are a plus.
