<div><p>A Japanese trading company is currently recruiting an Associate Payroll and Human Resources and General Affairs to work in their London office.</p><p>In this role, you will be responsible for processing payroll, handling HR tasks, and providing general administrative support in the Human Resources and General Affairs Department.</p><p>The ideal candidate should have excellent Excel skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive mindset for process improvement. Experience in multiple currencies would be highly advantageous.</p><h2>Job Details</h2><ul><li>TYPE: Permanent, full-time</li><li>WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday 8 hours per day (including one hour for lunch), flexible start time between 7 and 11 am</li><li>SALARY: up to £40k per annum depending on experience</li><li>BENEFITS: Discretionary annual performance-related bonus, medical insurance, dental Insurance, company pension, generous annual health check-up scheme</li><li>LOCATION: City of London (3 days in office, 2 days from home after probation)</li></ul><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Support processing two monthly payrolls one of which is a modified payroll</li><li>Understanding and processing expatriates and local’s variable pay elements</li><li>Handling expatriate queries and payments</li><li>Accurately collating/compiling variable and permanent payroll data in Excel/ CSV format using data from multiple sources</li><li>Completing payroll accounting tasks such as booking requests, reports and reconciliations to ensure correct processing of data</li><li>Liaising with departments for P and L</li><li>Ensuring payroll compliance and statutory reporting requirements are met</li><li>End of Year payroll tasks – P11D, PSA etc</li><li>Self-assessment tax returns for expatriate staff in partnership with an outside contractor</li><li>Processing benefits such as pension, workplace savings scheme, dental and medical insurance, legacy childcare voucher scheme, loans etc</li><li>Supporting with the annual salary review process ensuring data is correct and accurately applied to the payroll and the pension/ workplace savings scheme</li><li>Supporting with the annual bonus processing</li><li>Managing intercompany and intracompany payments and recharges such as rent, service charge and electricity charges</li><li>Ensuring accurate data is maintained in the payroll system and HR system</li><li>Supporting the preparation and collation of HR documentation including offer letters and contracts</li><li>Support with the auditing process</li><li>Processing booking and payment requests through SAP</li><li>Supporting with the Company insurance renewal policies</li><li>Ad hoc tasks as required</li></ul><h2>Ideal Candidate</h2><ul><li>Excellent Excel skills including knowledge of functions, lookup tables and macros</li><li>Ability to work in multiple currencies (mainly Japanese yen and Euro)</li><li>Good time and task management with the ability to work to tight deadlines</li><li>Strong process improvement mindset</li><li>Excellent accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Cooperative, flexible and \'Can-do\' attitude</li><li>Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment</li><li>SAP experience desirable</li><li>Business level fluency in English</li></ul><p>All applicants for the Associate Payroll and Human Resources and General Affairs must have the right to work in the country as the Company is not able to offer visa support.
