E-commerce Fulfilment Associate

Job Description:

Builder Depot are one of the leading Independent Builders Merchants in the UK. Our growing E-commerce department (based at the largest branch in New Southgate) is dedicated to providing a speedy click-and-collect service, and a quick delivery service.

The role is focused on order picking, packing, and ensuring high-quality standards are maintained throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Click & Collect Orders: Picking and preparing orders for customers to collect in-store.
  • Customer Interactions: Handing over click and collect orders in a friendly, helpful, and speedy manner.
  • Manual Handling: Carrying out daily manual handling tasks, including lifting up to 30kg.
  • Order Picking and Packing: Accurately picking and packing orders from different sections of the store, ensuring all items are correctly picked and packed according to high standards.
  • Labeling and Dispatch: Ensuring orders are labeled correctly and ready for dispatch, with a focus on smooth operation and efficiency.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Warehouse Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse environment is an advantage, particularly if you've worked with counterbalance forklifts, electric pallet stackers, or electric pump tricks.
  • Organizational Skills: You should be able to prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring deadlines are met even under pressure.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for internal collaboration and dealing with customer inquiries.
  • IT Literacy: Comfort using smartphones/computers and willingness to learn warehouse management systems.
  • Physical Capability: Capable of handling manual tasks and lifting up to 30kg safely, moving around a large warehouse for extended periods of time.

Compensation:

  • Salary: From £13.00 per hour
  • Working Schedule:

Monday - Friday 9:00am-6:00pm*
