<p><b>Land Management Operative</b> <b>/ Landscaping Operative </b> </p> <p><b>Sizewell - Suffolk, IP16 4RQ</b></p> <p><b>Permanent </b></p> <p><b>Salary £30k - £34k (DOE) + Flexible Benefits,</b></p> <p><b>Summary</b></p> <p>Freedom Land Management Services are currently recruiting a Land Management Operative to support the delivery of an annual work programme that currently delivers practical and technical land management activities on the Sizewell Estate. You will work closely with the Supervisor onsite and report to the Operations Manager for the Division. </p> <p>The Sizewell estate encompasses land rich in biodiversity and the variety of habitats, land uses and associated flora and fauna. The role will support the Supervisor to proactively manage the estate’s ancient woodlands, heather and acid grasslands, SSSI marshland and coastal habitats using a range of practical land management techniques. </p> <p>This is a Monday to Friday role 37 hours per week</p> <p><b>What we’re looking for</b>:</p> <p>If the above sounds exciting and something you\'re well versed in, then we\'d love to hear from you!</p> <p><b>Essential</b></p> <ul> <li>Basic understanding of health & safety and legal compliance in the land management sector.</li><li>You must have a Driving Licence</li></ul> <ul> <li>Practical experience and knowledge of land-based industries.</li><li>Ability to self-motivate, work independently, or as part of a team and motivate others.</li><li>Ability to cope with the physical demands of the job, such as walking long distances, working outdoors for whole days at a time, operating machinery and lifting heavy objects.</li></ul> <p><b>Desirable</b></p> <ul> <li>Practical experience of simple repair and maintenance of motor vehicles and powered agricultural equipment.</li><li>Certificates for chainsaw, brushcutter, spraying and First Aid (training can be given)</li><li>Off road 4x4 driving certification (training can be given)</li><li>Tractor Driving or similar (training can be given)</li></ul> <p><b>Benefits:</b></p> <p>We\'re always evolving our benefits to ensure we\'re attracting and retaining great people.
