Junior Designer / Production Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate junior designer or recent graduate (or equivalent) looking to get their start as a graphic designer in the publishing and events sector.

My client is looking for a full time junior designer / production assistant to join our team.

Working on the group’s growing portfolio of events, publications and digital products, this is a busy and demanding job, offering scope for personal development and career growth.

You will be joining an exciting, fast paced and growing company where you will be assisting the Senior Designer to work on leading UK and international events, publications and digital products within the pharmaceutical, healthcare and life science sectors.

Responsibilities

· As part of the design team, you will work across a broad range of products, producing high quality materials in print and digital formats

· Supporting the sales, marketing, events and editorial teams you will work across all areas of the business

· Design and art working of brand campaign assets.

· Managing production workflows and taking projects from conception to delivery

About you:

· Proficient with Adobe CC suite of apps (inc. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

· An eye for layout and typographic skills

· A passion for art direction

· Able to design for print and digital formats

· Motivated to help drive success and growth of the company

· You will have a proven ability to work accurately and quickly

· Good organisational, planning and time management skills

· You can work well independently and as part of a team

· Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills

· Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

· Active interest in current design, media and social trends

· A degree or similar in graphic design

You will be asked to prepare an example of your design work, this may include a design portfolio of work, and/or a design website of work
