<h2>Investment Banking Analyst - German Speaking (Consumer & Retail Focus) </h2><p>London </p><p><strong>Job Purpose: </strong> </p><p>BTIG is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Analyst to join its Investment Banking coverage group in London. The candidate will be involved in all facets of BTIG\'s investment banking activities, including M&A, private and public offerings, and other advisory services. This position would require the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with primary responsibilities for the day-to-day management of ongoing assignments, the development of materials for board level discussions, and new business generation.BTIG offers a unique environment which combines a highly entrepreneurial platform focused on growth companies with the analytical rigor and transaction experience of “bulge bracket” investment banks. </p><p><strong>Duties & Responsibilities: </strong> </p><ul><li>Interact with corporate clients, investors, and senior bankers independently with minimal oversight </li><li>Assisting in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships </li><li>Identifying new business opportunities and developing tailored recommendations for clients </li><li>Perform product / market research and various analyses in support of new business generation </li><li>Provide analytical and execution support on mergers and acquisitions and other financial advisory projects </li><li>Preparation of offering memoranda, proposals and other written materials for meetings with clients </li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements & Qualifications: </strong> </p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related field. Strong academic performance is essential. </li><li>At least 2 years of investment banking experience </li><li>Ability to comfortably interact with business clients and management </li><li>Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively in presentations </li><li>A strong work ethic, detail orientation and a passion for excellence </li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideas </li><li>Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and proficiency with relevant banking-related databases / applications (Bloomberg, CapIQ, etc.) </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously </li><li>Highly organised, proactive, energetic and decisive, with high level of integrity </li><li>The ability to excel in both team and self-directed settings </li><li>Fluent in English and German on a professional level and preferably another European language </li><li>Must hold a British Passport or have Settlement Status in the U.K., BTIG does not offer sponsorship for work visas of any type </li><li>No phone calls please, the applicant will be contacted if successful </li> </ul><p><strong>About BTIG: </strong> </p><p>BTIG is a global financial services firm specializing in institutional trading, investment banking, research and related brokerage services.
