<p>In-House Conflicts Lawyer</p><p>Magic Circle Law Firm</p><p>Competitive Salary + Benefits + Bonus + Premium Hours Allowance</p><p>5 Days (or 4) A Week - Including Saturday and Sunday</p><p><br></p><p>Our client, a magic circle law firm, is actively recruiting for an experienced Qualified Lawyer to join them on a permanent basis in their London office - working as their new In-House Conflicts Lawyer.</p><p><br></p><p>***This role will require someone to work Saturday and Sunday (every week), as well as either 2 or 3 days during the standard working week***</p><p><br></p><p>Working within the Business Acceptance Unit, you'll be assessing all new business before it's accepted by the firm's Partners to ensure legal obligations are met.</p><p><br></p><p>As the successful In-House Conflicts Lawyer, you'll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:</p><p><br></p><p>- Analysing and resolving professional, legal, regulatory and commercial issues relating to business acceptance</p><p>- Supporting staff with professional and legal conflicts issues, AML client ID issues and suitability issues</p><p>- Responding and managing the team's responses to queries addressed to members of the BAU team</p><p>- Monitoring changes and developments in practice, regulations and the law in relating to client ID and KYC obligations</p><p>- Screening and advising on terms of pitch documents</p><p>- Assisting in the monitoring of information barriers</p><p>- Assisting in the creation, development and implementation of the firm's global business acceptance policies, processes and systems</p><p><br></p><p>+ much more.</p><p><br></p><p>To be considered for this opportunity, you'll need to have/be the following:</p><p><br></p><p>- Be a Qualified Lawyer</p><p>- Have Legal Conflicts experience from a law firm environment</p><p>- Be able to work on both Saturdays and Sundays (essential)</p><p>- Ideally, have international law firm experience</p><p>- Be commercially minded</p><p><br></p><p>This position will also be suitable for an experienced Qualified Lawyer who is looking to make a move into a Legal Conflicts role from another discipline.</p><p><br></p><p>For more information and to review a full job description, get in touch as soon as possible!</p>
