**ICS Engineer / Automation Security - Mesaieed, Qatar** Requisition ID: 758 Location: Mesaieed, Qatar Contract Type: Indefinite Function: Operations - **Job Purpose** As an ICS Engineer specializing in Automation Security, you will play a crucial role in implementing and maintaining cyber security controls for automation systems. This position involves ensuring compliance with established OT cyber security procedures, continuously monitoring systems for vulnerabilities, and executing risk reduction strategies. You will actively participate in incident management, disaster recovery planning, and the execution of automation cyber security projects to ensure the highest on-stream factor of production plants. - **Key Responsibilities** - Implement and maintain OT cyber security controls to protect automation systems from potential cyber threats. - Monitor and update installed cyber solutions with the latest security updates and threat intelligence. - Ensure compliance with company cyber security requirements to maintain business continuity. - Execute and support various automation cyber security projects, including cost proposals, engineering tasks, planning, procurement, and commissioning. - Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors, conduct project meetings, and perform acceptance tests. - Follow company procedures for change management and ensure proper documentation updates. - Develop new control strategies for enhanced cyber protection. - Analyze cyber incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures. - Maintain and optimize existing frame contracts, ensuring proper spares planning and availability. - Stay updated on technological advancements to identify opportunities for improved effectiveness and cost reduction. - Train and mentor new and trainee engineers, fostering knowledge exchange and skill development. - **Desired Candidate Profile** - Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline. - Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in automation and cyber security. - Certification in Network Management and Cyber Security (ISA, CISCO, Microsoft) is preferred. - Hands-on experience with various automation systems, including Honeywell, Triconex, Siemens, ABB, Allen Bradley, and GE Mark VI/VIe. - Knowledge of data backup, restore policies, and disaster recovery procedures. - Strong understanding of networking topologies, protocols, and data protection/security software. - Familiarity with compressor control systems, including Bently Nevada and Woodward speed control systems. - Comprehensive knowledge of national and international standards related to DCS, ESD, F&G, SCADA, and instrumentation systems in the oil and gas industry. - Proficiency in DCS, ICSS, and safety systems, including Honeywell Safety Manager, Triconex, and Woodward. - Experience in identifying, responding to, and remediating cyber security incidents, including system restoration. - Knowledge of management of change (MOC) processes, including documentation updates and facility changes. - **Why Join Us ** This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of industrial automation and cyber security in a leading petrochemical environment.
