<div><p><strong>HR Officer / HR Generalist</strong><br><strong>Cardiff – Full Time</strong><br><strong>£28,000 – £33,000 per annum (dependent on experience)</strong></p><p>An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and people-focused HR professional to join a well-established organisation in Cardiff. This is a broad and hands-on role, offering exposure to all areas of Human Resources, from recruitment and employee relations to learning, compliance, and wellbeing initiatives.</p><h2><strong>About the Role</strong></h2><p>Working closely with the HR Director, you’ll play a key role in delivering an effective and efficient HR service across the business. The role requires someone with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine interest in supporting employees and line managers throughout the full employee lifecycle.</p><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><p><strong>Recruitment & Onboarding</strong></p><ul><li><p>Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, from advertising vacancies and screening candidates to issuing offer letters and contracts.</p></li><li><p>Liaise with external recruitment partners and hiring managers to ensure a smooth process.</p></li><li><p>Organise induction programmes and onboarding documentation for all new joiners.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Employee Relations & Engagement</strong></p><ul><li><p>Provide first-line guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.</p></li><li><p>Build positive relationships with managers and staff to promote a collaborative working culture.</p></li><li><p>Support formal processes and liaise with external advisers where required.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Payroll, Benefits & HR Data</strong></p><ul><li><p>Work alongside the finance team to ensure payroll data is accurate and deadlines are met.</p></li><li><p>Maintain employee benefit schemes, including healthcare and reward platforms.</p></li><li><p>Ensure all HR systems and employee records are kept up to date and GDPR-compliant.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Learning & Development</strong></p><ul><li><p>Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating internal and external learning opportunities.</p></li><li><p>Promote a culture of professional development and continuous improvement.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Performance & Compliance</strong></p><ul><li><p>Support the appraisal process and provide administrative and advisory support to managers.</p></li><li><p>Ensure HR practices, policies and procedures comply with current employment legislation.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to updating company HR documentation and maintaining accurate employment files.</p></li></ul><h2><strong>About You</strong></h2><p>You’ll be <strong>CIPD Level 3 qualified</strong> and ideally <strong>working towards Level 5</strong>, or a <strong>recent HR graduate</strong> looking to develop your career in a generalist environment. Previous experience in a HR role would be beneficial, but graduates with strong communication skills, initiative, and a genuine passion for people are very welcome to apply.</p><p>You’ll be confident managing multiple priorities, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting colleagues at all levels.
