<p>flydubai Stansted, England, United Kingdom</p><h2>First Officer - Non Type Rated</h2><p>flydubai Stansted, England, United Kingdom</p><p>Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.</p><p><strong>MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE<br><br></strong>To serve as the second-in-command, supporting the Captain by executing assigned duties, adhering to instructions, and sharing responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the airplane, contributing to the safety, security, and well-being of the crew, passengers, cargo, and equipment while exemplifying integrity, leadership, and professionalism, upholding the highest operational standards, making ethical and decisive decisions in both normal and contingency operations under the Captain’s ultimate authority.</p><p><strong>MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE<br><br></strong>To serve as the second-in-command, supporting the Captain by executing assigned duties, adhering to instructions, and sharing responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the airplane, contributing to the safety, security, and well-being of the crew, passengers, cargo, and equipment while exemplifying integrity, leadership, and professionalism, upholding the highest operational standards, making ethical and decisive decisions in both normal and contingency operations under the Captain’s ultimate authority.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Supports the captain in maintaining ultimate responsibility and accountability for the safe operation of the airplane, crew, passengers, and cargo, ensuring compliance with UAE GCAA and international aviation regulations, flydubai policies and procedures, and industry standards.</li><li>Performs delegated flight duties in compliance with flydubai policies, aviation regulations, and safety standards, and fosters professionalism and collaboration among crew through effective leadership and CRM, while upholding flydubai’s commitment to safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.</li><li>Executes all duties with precision and professionalism, adhering to flydubai’s Operations Manuals, SOPs, and policies to ensure compliance and operational integrity, proposing alternative actions when needed, guided by sound Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles.</li><li>Monitors airplane systems, performance, and navigation, promptly addressing irregularities and ensuring adherence to the flight plan. Identify, document, and report safety incidents, SOP breaches, or operational irregularities, proactively highlighting opportunities to enhance safety and efficiency, ensuring all reports are accurate, comprehensive, and submitted through appropriate channels in compliance with regulatory and flydubai requirements.</li><li>Conducts pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks to ensure the serviceability of emergency systems and flight deck equipment, sharing responsibility for the aircraft, passengers, crew, and operations from boarding to shut down, overseeing activities like fueling and loading, and alerts the commander immediately of any irregularities.</li><li>Supports the captain by assisting with responsibilities for the crew from the time of reporting for duty at the Base of Operations in Dubai, acting in a supporting role at outstations and during layovers, and contributing to the safe and efficient management of all aspects of the return sector(s) until release following post-flight duties upon return to Dubai.</li><li>Assists the Captain, who as the airplane Commander holds full accountability and responsibility for all operational decisions and the overall conduct of the flight, ensuring strict compliance with all regulatory and company standards.</li><li>Represents flydubai as a brand ambassador by maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, discipline, and appearance while on duty and in public, and supports the Captain in ensuring the crew consistently upholds the flydubai corporate and brand image, reporting any inconsistencies to the Captain and the company through established reporting mechanisms.</li><li>Operates all flight duties in alignment with flydubai’s commercial objectives, expertly balancing operational efficiency with an unwavering commitment to safety and compliance with all regulatory requirements, ensuring that every decision made during flight operations supports the airline\'s mission while maintaining the highest standards of aviation safety and operational excellence.</li><li>Stays informed on the latest UAE GCAA and international aviation legislation, operational standards, and industry best practices, and proactively integrate this knowledge to ensure full legal compliance, adherence to procedures, and alignment with evolving industry trends and standards.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>High School Diploma</li><li>NA</li><li>Fluent in English</li><li>Minimum 2,500 hours total flying time Minimum 1,000 hours on modern (EFIS), multi crew, multi engine airplane over 10 tones operating weight (PIC time preferable) Minimum 1500 hours MPA hours flying time.</li><li>NA</li><li>NA</li><li>ICAO English Language Proficiency requirements (Level 4 or above).</li><li>Unrestricted class 1 Pilot Medical Certificate from an ICAO Compliant State.</li><li>ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).<br><br></li></ul><strong>COMPETENCIES<br><br></strong><ul><li>Customer Focus</li><li>Teamwork</li><li>Effective Communication</li><li>Personal Accountability & Commitment to achieve</li><li>Personal Accountability & Commitment to achieve</li><li>Decision Making</li><li>Inspiring & Developing Others</li><li>Strategic Thinking</li><li>Business Acumen<br><br></li></ul><strong>Isr Requirements<br><br></strong>Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team.
