Industrial placement programme

Opportunities are available for students who are looking to complete a year in industry as part of their course, due to complete their studies in 2027. Our Industrial Placement Programme starts in late August / early September 2025 for 12 months.

Our London office offers a unique and organized 12-month industrial placement experience.

As a placement student, you will be assigned to a sector or product team for the duration of the 12-month program, ensuring an experience by providing exposure to different teams, bankers, and clients. You will be involved in real work for real clients, so not only will you gain invaluable practical experience, but you will also have exposure to a network of senior finance experts who will be on hand to share their experiences with you and offer you support and guidance.

You will be supporting our transaction teams on project work by:

  • conducting financial and statistical analysis
  • conducting company and industry sector research
  • creating client presentations and marketing materials

As part of the 12-month placement, a specially tailored training program will be provided so that you will have a strong base of knowledge and training to build upon throughout the placement. On-going support and other learning and development opportunities will also be available.

A Lazard Industrial Placement can lead to a full-time for the following year’s Analyst program.
