Aberdeen Grain is a farmer member cooperative handling combinable crops in the North East of Scotland, in the role of Finance and Admin Manager you will report to the General Manager.

Key responsibilities:

Ensure fixed asset register is kept up to date.

Quarterly VAT returns

Complete AHDB submission returns

Credit Cards Reconciliation

HR, including payroll, holiday’s and absences

Reconcile sales and purchase ledgers

Cashflow statements and reconciliation of the bank accounts.

Post all monthly journals

Production of monthly management accounts.

The lead individual for the audit process

The point of contact for the financial director

Ensuring the society adheres to the rules and regulations put in place by the FCA

Working in a manner consistent with company hygiene and safety standards.

Carrying out other duties that may arise from time to time.

Overseeing the pools process and payments including harvest payment, advances and final payments.

Skills and attributes:

  • Strong management accounting experience an good attention to detail.
  • Experience of operating in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills
  • Experienced communicator across the business, developing good working relationships within the team
  • Good Excel skills

Approximately 25-30 hours spread over 5 days. Hours to be agreed. Office-based only.

- Open accounts knowledge is desirable but full training will be given

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00-£20.00 per hour
