Job Title: ESG & Sustainability Manager 

Job Type: Full-Time 

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per year 

Working Days: Mon – Fri, 5 days a week 

Working Location: Hybrid, 2 days WFH, 3 days a week in Central London

ProcureCircular is a dynamic and forward-thinking technology platform for the circular economy. We’re looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join our team as an ESG & Sustainability Manager. The role is crucial to developing our ESG and Sustainability initiatives and developing our approach with clients, ensuring we provide best practice consultancy, through direct relationships and integrating our ESG framework into our technology platform.

 

Position Overview:  

As the ESG & Sustainability Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and overseeing our ESG proposition we provide to clients, establishing best practice approach, framework and methodology to our consulting proposition. You will also be responsible for developing an ESG framework to benchmark the evolving ESG and Sustainability profile of our clients within the ProcureCircular platform. Along with this, you’ll be responsible for establishing the ESG and Sustainability profile and practices of ProcureCircular as well.

You will collaborate with ProcureCircular and various departments and stakeholders at our clients’ businesses, to initiate, organise and integrate ESG and sustainability practices across operations, policies, and culture. This position reports directly to the Managing Director and requires a deep understanding of ESG frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. 

ProcureCircular is looking for a highly motivated manager who can successfully design and deliver our ESG Framework and Proposition and effectively work with small but highly efficient consulting team to launch our proposition in market. Ultimately, someone who is looking to make a big impact on a small business and in turn, be rewarded with share options.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

ESG Strategy Development:  

  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive ESG strategy for our consulting proposition, aligned with best market practices.
  • Develop a framework and approach to represent ESG metrics within our SaaS platform. 
  • Develop and execute client ESG/sustainability initiatives and strategies.
  • Review and analyse client activities and provide recommendations related to enhancing the ESG/sustainability strategy, methods, framework, and related tools. 
  • Capturing and reporting on Scope 1, 2 and 3 within our client's organisation 
  • Preparing reports for consumption by the business on performance against ESG targets/KPIs. 
  • Establish and manage ProcureCircular’s ESG and Sustainability profile and practices for our own brand.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:  

  • Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for sustainability initiatives. Clients are across apparel & textiles (Retail, Brand and Manufactures) specifically in addition to other industry sectors. 
  • Communicate the company's ESG efforts transparently to investors, customers, employees, and other relevant stakeholders. 
  • Be a thought leader and represent ProcureCircular’s voice in the industry, supporting with PR activity and presence at events across our ESG and Sustainability angle.

 

Data Collection and Reporting:  

  • Establish robust systems for collecting and analysing ESG-related data. 
  • requirements. 

 

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:  

  • Conduct ESG risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks. 
  • Stay abreast of evolving ESG trends, regulations, and standards to ensure the company remains at the forefront of sustainable practices. 

 

Collaboration and Training:  

  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainability considerations into decision-making processes. 
  • Provide training and awareness programs to ensure employees understand and contribute to sustainability goals. 

 

Compliance and Certification:  

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant ESG regulations and reporting frameworks. 
  • Investigate and pursue relevant sustainability certifications for the organisation. 

 

Qualifications & Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, or a related field; MBA preferred. 
  • 3 – 4 years of experience in ESG and sustainability roles, ideally in the Circular Economy 
  • In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD) and sustainability best practices. 
  • Knowledge of social and environmental governance and trends 
  • Experience in measuring and reporting on Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions 
  • Experience of implementing environmental impact reduction strategies 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting.
