We're now seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Analyst to join our Merchandise Planning Analytics team for a 6-month contract, with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role.About the Merchandise Planning Analytics TeamThe Merchandise Planning Analytics team at blithequark is responsible for managing reporting, analysis, and tool building for our Merchandising team. We support a team of over 100 merchants and 40 planners to optimize the performance of our Front End (non-Pharmacy) businesses. As a Remote Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving business growth through data-driven insights and analysis.Job SummaryAs a Remote Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on blithequark's Own Brand (private label) products, including ad-hoc analysis based on business needs. You will work closely with our Merchandising team to provide item-level historical analysis, recapping, and future-looking forecasts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analytics, data science, or a related field, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Key Responsibilities• Own Brand reporting, recapping, tracking, and analysis, including ad-hoc analysis based on business needs• Item-level historical analysis and recapping• Item-level future-looking forecast• Analyzing thousands of Own Brand items at the item level• Utilizing Excel to perform complex data analysis and synthesis• Developing executive recaps and presenting findings to stakeholdersEssential QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as analytics, data science, finance, or mathematics• At least 3-5 years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related field• Strong understanding of retail merchandising basics, including category management and merchandising organization structures and processes• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct complex quantitative analysis and build analytical models using Microsoft Excel• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present findings effectively and succinctly via Microsoft PowerPoint• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and work independently• Intermediate/Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel, including SUM/SUMIFS, Subtotals, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Macros, and Pivot tables• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word and PowerPointPreferred QualificationsWhile not required, the following skills and experience will be considered a plus:• MBA or a quantitative analytical degree, such as Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)• Data science experience• Retail experience• SQL Coding and Microsoft Access skills• Macro building expertiseWhat We OfferAt blithequark, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that fosters growth and development.
