Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an engaging and challenging English curriculum across KS3–KS5

• Plan and resource high-quality lessons to meet diverse learner needs

• Track progress, assess learning and support individual student development

• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental improvement

• Foster positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues

• Provide pastoral support as a form tutor

• Promote high expectations, exemplary behaviour and a safe learning environment

What We’re Looking For

• QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree

• Strong subject knowledge with the ability to inspire students

• Experience teaching at secondary level (including teaching placements)

• Understanding of effective teaching, learning and assessment practices

• Ability to use ICT creatively within lessons

• Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills

• A team player committed to inclusion, equity and student success
