<p><b>Job Title:</b> Demand Planning Analytics & Innovation Specialist</p><p><b>Department: </b>Demand Planning</p><p><b>FLSA Status: </b>Exempt</p><p><b>Position Overview:</b></p><p>The Demand Planning Analytics & Innovation Specialist is a strategic role designed to elevate the digital maturity of the global Demand Planning function. While continuing to support our global Advanced Planning System (SAP IBP) from a process and cross-functional optimization standpoint, this role will also lead innovation initiatives by leveraging new technologies—including AI, advanced analytics, and automation—to transform forecasting capabilities, enable smarter decisions, and future-proof the planning process.<br><br>This individual will act as the bridge between technology, planning teams, and cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial), driving continuous improvement and ensuring that digital tools and processes are not only fit-for-purpose but strategically enabling.</p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><b>Global Advanced Planning System (SAP IBP) Process Stewardship:</b><br>- Own the SAP IBP roadmap from a functional/process standpoint across Demand Planning.<br>- Act as the internal owner and thought partner for IBP demand-related enhancements, collaborating with the external IBP configuration consultants.<br>- Ensure planning processes and tool capabilities evolve in line with business needs.</li><li><b>Technology Enablement & AI Integration:</b><br>- Lead the evaluation and implementation of advanced planning technologies (AI/ML forecasting, automation, analytics platforms).<br>- Develop proofs of concept (PoCs) for demand sensing, scenario planning, and pattern recognition to improve accuracy and agility.<br>- Stay ahead of emerging tech and how it can be applied to planning challenges.</li><li><b>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</b><br>- Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, IT, and Commercial teams to align processes, share data models, and drive integration of forecasting tools.<br>- Represent Demand Planning in digital transformation and S&OP process improvement forums.</li><li><b>Data & Insights Governance:</b><br>- Own the governance of data architecture, business rules, and model logic within IBP and other forecasting tools.<br>- Work with Data Science teams to enhance the quality and consistency of inputs/outputs used in planning.</li><li><b>Training, Adoption & Change Management:</b><br>- Lead training sessions, documentation, and manage adoption strategies for new tools and capabilities introduced into the team.<br>- Act as a change agent for digital adoption within the broader planning community.</li></ul><p><b>Education, Experience and Skills:</b></p><ul><li>BS degree required.</li><li><b>Experience:</b> Relevant experience in supply chain/demand planning tech roles - Desirable</li><li>Exposure to planning tools, data science teams, and/or AI tools - Essential</li><li>Prior experience leading cross-functional digital planning initiatives - is a big plus.</li><li><b>Technical Expertise: </b>understanding of SAP IBP (functional, not configuration), advanced analytics, AI/ML applications in planning.</li><li><b>Strategic Vision:</b> Ability to think beyond today’s process, propose roadmap evolutions, and link tech capabilities to business goals.</li><li><b>Analytical Mindset</b>: Strong capability to synthesize complex datasets and model insights into actionable planning improvements.</li><li><b>Leadership: </b>Comfortable leading cross-functional initiatives, aligning stakeholders, and driving decisions through influence.</li><li><b>Collaboration:</b> Natural connector—able to speak the language of planners, IT, and business leaders with ease.</li><li><b>Communication</b>: Able to clearly translate technical and analytical concepts into simple business terms.</li><li><b>Innovation Drive: </b>Proactive in seeking, piloting, and scaling new digital solutions.</li><li><b>Curiosity & Learning</b>: Lifelong learner who stays current on tech trends, industry benchmarks and innovations.</li><li><b>Change Agent Mentality</b>: Can mobilize people, create clarity, and maintain momentum through complex transitions.</li></ul><p><b>Physical Requirements:</b></p><ul><li><p>None.</p></li></ul><p>#LI-Hybrid #LI-KJ1</p><p>Insulet Corporation (NASDAQ: PODD), headquartered in Massachusetts, is an innovative medical device company dedicated to simplifying life for people with diabetes and other conditions through its Omnipod product platform.
