This position offers the opportunity to teach bright, motivated students from around the world while maintaining flexibility in your schedule. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality, personalized learning experiences as we continue to expand our reach globally.<br><br>The Role<br><br>This is a Part-time Curriculum Developer position (contractor) responsible for creating technology-enhanced learning materials for advanced secondary courses (grades 8-12) in our US Diploma program. Courses may include Calculus, Physics, English, and Computer Science. This is a stipend-based role.<br><br><strong>What You'll Be Doing<br><br></strong><ul><li>Canvas Development & Implementation</li><ul><li>Familiarize yourself with our pre-created marketing assets and color schemes</li><li>Develop advanced course Canvas templates with consistent branding and improved usability</li><li>Create standardized template elements for course home pages, assignment layouts, and gradebook settings appropriate for rigorous advanced coursework</li><li>Ensure all courses have a consistent look and feel while being engaging and intellectually challenging<br></li></ul></ul><em>Advanced Curriculum Development<br><br></em><ul><li>Design and develop modular, tech-forward curriculum materials for advanced courses including:</li><ul><li>Advanced Mathematics up to Calculus</li><li>Physics</li><li>Computer Science</li><li>English</li></ul><li>Create engaging lesson plans, instructional content, assessments, and student learning materials that challenge advanced learners in grades 8-12</li><li>Transform existing curriculum into interactive Canvas modules</li><li>Ensure alignment with US educational standards and our academic vision</li><li>Incorporate higher-order thinking skills, problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical reasoning<br></li></ul><em>Technology Integration<br><br></em><ul><li>Integrate AI tools and digital technologies to enhance curriculum delivery and student engagement in advanced subjects</li><li>Implement educational technology tools within the curriculum (coding platforms, simulation tools, collaborative writing tools, etc.)</li><li>Research and implement interactive content creation tools appropriate for advanced learners</li><li>Test and implement latest learning practices and pedagogical approaches</li><li>Train teachers on how to effectively use interactive elements<br><br></li></ul><em>Collaboration<br><br></em><ul><li>Work closely with subject matter expert teachers, Heads of Department, and our Curriculum Alignment Dean to understand advanced content requirements and ensure alignment across programs</li><li>Establish and maintain regular meeting schedules with academic teams</li><li>Respond promptly to feedback and incorporate changes throughout the development process</li><li>Support diverse learning styles and promote student-centered learning at the advanced level</li><li>Communicate proactively about progress and any potential roadblock<br><br></li></ul><strong>Project Timeline & Deadline Management<br><br></strong><em>Phase 1: Orientation & Canvas Template Development<br><br></em><ul><li>Review marketing assets and branding guidelines</li><li>Audit existing Canvas templates and advanced course requirements</li><li>Develop standardized templates and test tool integration</li><li>Present designs for approval by established deadline<br><br></li></ul><em>Phase 2: Content Planning & Collaboration<br><br></em><ul><li>Meet with department heads, Curriculum Alignment Dean, and review existing advanced curriculum</li><li>Develop content frameworks for each course</li><li>Identify opportunities for interactive elements, simulations, and advanced problem-solving activities</li><li>Create sample units for feedback by scheduled milestone<br><br></li></ul><em>Phase 3: Content Development<br><br></em><ul><li>Develop content for assigned advanced course(s)</li><li>Incorporate feedback from teachers and Curriculum Alignment Dean</li><li>Implement interactive elements and ensure consistent layout</li><li>Test functionality across different devices and platforms</li><li>Meet all phase deadlines as outlined in project timeline<br><br></li></ul><em>Phase 4: Review and Finalization<br><br></em><ul><li>Complete quality assurance testing</li><li>Make final adjustments based on feedback</li><li>Prepare orientation materials for teachers</li><li>Finalize all content by final deadline<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>What You'll Bring<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, English, or related field;
